[It's sunset when the video feed comes on, so there's enough light left to see Envy holding this up to the camera with a grin.]

Almost forgot, but that's two. I grabbed it before we left. It was too easy, Chimera crushed those ghosts.

[Behind Envy stretch the flat farmlands of the road to Olivine. The group's made camp for the night near a field of tall, fenced in grass that looks like some sort of pasture. Of course, any tall grass in Johto is also the perfect place for there to be a ton of wild Pokemon. And since his back is to the grass, he doesn't see the Murkrow sneaking up behind him, its red eyes focused on his open bag. And the shiny gold chain that's peeking out and glinting in the last of the sunlight.]

Anyway, we should be almost there. You've got to have beaten us by now Tulio--

KROW!

[The Murkrow had finally gotten close enough to dive at the bag and come away carrying the gold chain with it, startling Envy enough that he doesn't quite manage to catch it before it's already flapping away into the field. He saw what was taken. And he while there is an oddly genuine upset note to his expression, mostly he looks furious.]

You can't have that! Give it back!

[And off he goes, just taking off running after the thieving Pokemon. Wow, that necklace must be important to him judging by how fast he's going. Good thing he's wearing real shoes and pants for traveling, and won't be sprinting through a field in a miniskirt. As he enters the grass, he seems to realize that he's still carrying the 'Gear, and just tosses it back over his shoulder, where it cuts out as it hits the ground.]

_{[OH LOOK WHO'S TALKING. Tone pretty dry, he does looks curious - but not curious enough to ask if he got it back or who it was from. The first will be seen when Envy turns on the vid, anyway.]}

But yeaaah we've been here a few days now. How long have you been out? And who's coming?

Hey, I'm not Miguel. I don't see any reason to get along with damn birds that sneak up behind me and steal from my bag. [Yeah, the scratches all over his arms and feathers in his hair are a testament to how little Envy got along with the Murkrow.]

We left Monday, so...it shouldn't be much longer. Maybe a couple days. It's me, France, Romano, and L--Isabel. [He's not too worried about telling Tulio her name at this point, but he figures she'll tell him herself when they meet if she wants to.]

What did you do, fight it?

_{[There's a momentary incredulity to that, but he nods when he hears the list.]}

Well I didn't bring any of my Pokemon, and I had to catch it somehow... [In otherwords, yes. Envy actually tackled it out of the air. He looks kind of defensive about this.]

[But holy shit the fields. They are indeed ridiculous; Envy preferred the forest even.] Yeah, we've noticed. I've been having Izumi fly ahead to keep track of where we're going.

_{[... but that's ... actually pretty cool. He raises an eyebrow.]} Did you catch it catch it or just ... grab it?

_{[But yep, looks like he approves.]} Good call. I ended up letting Pico do that.

[Well when he's not getting scolded, a lot of that defensiveness vanishes, replaced by smugness. Can't keep this ego down for long.] I grabbed it first, but it wouldn't let go of the chain and it was going to get away, so I caught it in a ball. [And then promptly disappeared to the PC, which had startled the hell out of him.]

It'd be better if it didn't all look exactly the same.

_{[But he's long since accepted his fate of being stuck in crazyland with crazyanimals, and shrugs in response to the next statement.]}

Whoever planted them sure as hell wasn't very imaginative. But I'm just glad we didn't have to travel that way back when all that snow was about.

Yeah, well I'm leaving the little bastard in the computer for now.

[Envy doesn't even want to think about going through these fields in the snow, and groans.] I'd take snow in that forest over going through it out here any time. At least in the forest there was some cover.

What's this Olivine place like, anyway? All I know is that it's got a beach.

No, it's got a harbour. Really big one, too. --but yeah, there's a beach outside the place. Tons of little annoying crabs all over it, but it's not too bad. You should ask Miguel instead of me, he'd give you all the glorious details.

I would, but I haven't heard from him since you guys left.

Beach, harbor, close enough. It's next to the ocean, so at least there's something interesting about it. [Amestris is landlocked can you tell. And yeah Goldenrod had been next to the ocean too, but that was a little different and it had been the middle of winter. Before that, Envy'd only been anywhere near an ocean once in his life, centuries ago.]

You like the ocean or something?

_{[Spain was most certainly NOT landlocked. Or, yeah, well - but Tulio and Miguel had hung out along the costline lately, so Tulio can't say he finds it all that amazing.]}

Well, I haven't been to a beach in centuries. Biggest amounts of water you'll find in Amestris are lakes.

[He shrugs.] So, they're interesting.

Well, then, pal, you're gonna have a field day with this place. Water as far as the eye can see. Big cold miserable beach. What's not to love?
